Ghosts in the Valley

iCal Import
Start:
Monday, September 5th

Ghosts In The Valley is a three-piece original rock band from Philadelphia.

Sometimes it’s hard for a band like Ghosts In The Valley to fit in. Raised on a broad diet of punk, grunge, indie, metal and classic rock, these varied influences have combined to create a sound that is not easily categorized (but is a lot of fun to listen to). They have been called “pop-punk”, “post-punk”, “grunge-core”, “post-hardcore” and many other hybrid descriptions. The band just calls it “loud, fast & energetic”. It doesn’t matter what you call them – just listen and enjoy.

While their original sound has sometimes made it difficult to find shows in an area that embraces cover bands, the members of the group don’t consider that a bad thing. Since forming in late 2008, Ghosts In The Valley has played shows all over the mid-Atlantic region, from NY to DC, including many shows in their hometown of Philadelphia. With the release of their new album, Subtle as a Brick, they are set to take on college and independent radio as a true force to be reckoned with.
